Repair and repurpose

In disposable era where things have never been as accessible as they are now, repairing seems to be a waste of time. The other day my husband was about to toss out a pair of socks because one had a hole. That got me wondering, why is it that throwing out the old and buying new replacement has become so automatic?

We want to maximize lifespan of every item. Start with buying real and good quality. Things form real and durable materials can be fixed. It is worth investing in real and good quality as it will be so much worth to fix it if it breaks.

If it’s not fixable, find a new purpose in its life. I’m sure everyone has seen flowerbeds made in old rubber tires or wooden pellets into patio furniture.
